Embed the inbound form on your website

Enterprise labs can show the inbound form inside their own site: approve an origin, add the iframe and react to submissions.

Written for Enterprise labs

Instead of sending customers to a Lab-Send-Go address, you can show your inbound form inside your own website or customer portal. The embedded form shows no Lab-Send-Go header, menu or footer. Visitors see only the PIN screen, the submission form and the confirmation, inside your own site and branding.

Step 1: submit your website's address for approval

  1. Go to My account → Profile → Receive files from customers and find Hosted iframe.
  2. In Parent origin, enter the address of the site that will show the form, for example https://portal.example.com. Enter the scheme and host name only, with no page path. It must use HTTPS and a public host name; IP addresses and localhost are not accepted.
  3. Select Submit for approval. The origin shows Pending approval.

A Lab-Send-Go administrator reviews the request. When it is Approved, the form can be framed by that site from the next page load. If it is Rejected, the reason is shown beside it.

Hosted iframe: the origin waiting for approval.

Step 2: add the iframe to your site

Once the origin is approved, the section shows the Generated iframe URL and Generated iframe code. Select Copy code and paste it into the page on your approved site. The code looks like this:

<iframe
  id="labsendgo-iframe"
  src="https://app.lab-send-go.com/embed/inbound/…"
  title="Secure case submission"
  loading="lazy"
  style="width:100%;min-height:900px;border:0"
></iframe>

Test it by opening the page over HTTPS in a private browser window.

Approved: copy the iframe code into your site.

Step 3 (optional): react when a case is submitted

After a submission the frame shows its confirmation, with a button to start another case, and sends your page a message of type labsendgo:inbound-submitted carrying the number of cases submitted, and nothing else. Listen for it if you want to thank the visitor or move them on:

window.addEventListener("message", (event) => {
  if (event.origin !== "https://app.lab-send-go.com") return;
  if (event.data?.type === "labsendgo:inbound-submitted") {
    // event.data.caseCount cases were submitted
  }
});

How long does a customer stay in after entering the PIN?

Up to one hour while the page stays open. If your form has a PIN, customers enter it every time the embedded form loads, including after reloading your page, and again after an hour. A form without a PIN opens straight away.

How do I change or remove the approved site?

Your form can have one origin at a time. Select Remove on an approved origin, or Cancel request on a pending one. Removing an approved origin stops the embedded form working on that site immediately, and using it again needs a new approval. You can then submit a different origin.

What should I know about embedded submissions?

  • Embedded submissions are always anonymous and shown as Unverified, even if the visitor has a Lab-Send-Go account. Customers who want to submit as their signed-in account can use the ordinary customer URL instead.
  • The PIN, enabled status and allowance are shared with your ordinary customer URL.
  • Refreshing the customer URL also breaks the embed until you paste in the new iframe code.
  • 3D previews open inside the frame. There is no option to open them in a new tab.
  • Our support chat and cookie banner never appear inside your embedded form.

The embedded form does not load

  • Check the origin shows Approved, not Pending approval, Rejected, Cancelled or Revoked.
  • Check your page's address matches the approved origin exactly, including https:// and any www..
  • Check the page is served over HTTPS.
  • If you have refreshed the customer URL, replace the iframe code with the new code from My account.
  • Check the inbound form is Enabled and your plan still includes embedding.
