Choose your notifications
The notification bell, the activity list and which emails your account receives.
Written for Everyone
Lab-Send-Go tells you what is happening to your transfers in two ways: the bell at the top of every page, and emails. You choose which of each you get under My account → Notifications.
The notification bell
The bell shows how many notifications you have not read. Select it to see the latest, or open Notifications for the full list. Each notification links to the transfer it is about. Read notifications are removed after 90 days.
How do I choose my notifications?
Go to My account → Notifications. There are two lists, In-app activity (the bell) and Emails. Each is grouped into Sending (transfers you sent), Receiving (transfers sent to you) and Account. Switch off anything you do not want and select Save settings. Everything is on until you turn it off.
In-app activity
| Group | Notification | When |
|---|---|---|
| Sending | Transfer sent | A transfer you sent has gone out. |
| Sending | Recipient downloaded | Somebody collected a transfer you sent. |
| Sending | Recipient confirmed receipt | A practice confirmed a case arrived. |
| Sending | Link expiring | A transfer you sent is close to expiring. |
| Sending | Expired uncollected | A transfer you sent expired before anybody downloaded it. |
| Sending | Access restored | An expired transfer you sent was reopened. |
| Receiving | Transfer received | A transfer was sent to you. |
| Receiving | Link expiring | A transfer somebody sent you is close to expiring. |
| Receiving | Transfer withdrawn | A sending lab withdrew a transfer before you collected it. |
| Account | Billing and plan | Payments, plan changes and your transfer allowance running low. |
Emails
| Group | What it does | |
|---|---|---|
| Sending | Download alert | Tells you when a recipient collects a transfer you sent. |
| Sending | Expiry warning | Warns you that a transfer you sent is about to expire. |
| Sending | Transfer confirmation | Confirms that a transfer you sent was recorded. |
| Receiving | Transfer link | The email announcing a transfer sent to you, with your download link. Always sent. |
| Receiving | Uncollected reminder | Reminds you about a transfer sent to you that you have not downloaded. |
| Receiving | Expiry warning | Warns you that a transfer sent to you is about to expire. |
| Receiving | Inbound submission received | Tells you when somebody submits work through your inbound form. |
| Receiving | Transfer withdrawn | Tells you when a sending lab withdraws a transfer before you collect it. |
| Account | Billing and plan emails | Confirms changes to your subscription, plan, allowance or trial. Always sent. |
Why can I not turn some emails off?
The Transfer link email is how a case reaches you, and billing and plan emails tell you about changes to your account's access. Both are always sent. Sign-in codes, password resets and account recovery emails are also always sent and do not appear in the list.
I received a reminder but have no account
Reminders and expiry warnings go to every recipient who has not downloaded, whether or not they have an account. Once you create an account at that address you can turn them off under My account → Notifications. Downloading the transfer also stops them.
Do emails contain patient details?
No. Email subjects can include the sender's case reference (their job number) so that related emails group together, but the patient reference and file names are never included in any email.
